The BAOFENG UV-82 dual band radio (the so-called duobander) is a handy device enabling two-way radio communication in the bands: VHF: 136 MHz ... 174 MHz and UHF: 400 MHz ... 520 MHz. The device supports CTCSS and DCS codes in normal and invert modes. In addition, the radio allows you to receive FM radio frequencies.

The radio technically allows you to work in the PMR, amateur frequency bands, as well as in the bands used by the Police, Fire Department, Ambulance Service, Municipal Police, Railways, TAXI, security companies, other uniformed services and municipal services.

The device is equipped with a large, readable, two-line display, which significantly improves the comfort of use. The Digital Sound Processor (DSP) used in the device enables very good quality of the transmitted sound. The great advantage of the device is the presence of independent PTT buttons for each of the 2 bands selected by the user. In addition, the radio is equipped with an energy-saving function and a LED flashlight.
